Our programs and research
With undergraduate course enrollments totaling around 4000, we're actively and enthusiastically involved in:
- Major and Honours Chemistry BSc degree programs (and general BSc and BA degree courses)
- Graduate studies at the master's and doctoral levels
- Co-operative education programs with industry and government
- Pure research; contracted and directed research
Location and facilities
We occupy approximately 5000 square metres of space in the Elliott, Petch and Bob Wright buildings. The proximity of Physics & Astronomy, Biochemistry and Microbiology, Biology, Mathematics, School of Earth & Ocean Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering fosters a broad awareness of the full range of scientific activity at the University of Victoria.
The department is exceptionally well equipped, with millions of dollars worth of instrumentation serving both teaching and research needs.
